A 5-foot-2 junior guard, Brown surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career last week. She achieved the milestone against Incarnate Word on a layup with 4.5 seconds remaining in the game. Brown finished with a team-high 10 points, which was half the Redbirds’ offensive output. That performance came on the heels of a 21-point night for her in a 68-62 loss to O'Fallon. Brown, who has been named to three all-tournament teams, leads the Redbirds in scoring (16.1). She is also a track standout, having won the Class 3A state triple jump during her sophomore season.
