Redbirds Lose: 0 - 6
REDBIRDS FALL ON THE ROAD TO EHS
The Edwardsville Tigers rebounded from Tuesday’s home loss to the Collinsville Kahoks with a rout of the Alton Redbirds on Thursday.
The Tigers scored four goals in the first half and added two in the second half for a 6-0 win in Southwestern Conference action inside the District 7 Sports Complex.
EHS is now 11-2-2, including 5-1 in the SWC. Alton remains winless at 0-12, including 0-7 in the SWC.
Edwardsville opened the scoring less than a minute into the game when Wyatt Erber scored.
After Owen Logan made it 2-0, Colin Samson scored two straight to make it 4-0 at halftime.

Redbirds Lose: 1 - 4
Collinsville 4, Alton 1 - Alton was locked in a close game with Collinsville Wednesday night, trailing the Kahoks 2-1.
But the Kahoks came out with a more intense defense, scored two more goals and went on to defeat the Redbirds 4- at Kahok Stadium.
“Credit to Collinsville,” Alton coach Tyler Hamilton said. “They came out in the second half and turned the pressure up. We didn’t respond like I thought we would.”
Alton’s goal in the first half was scored by Noah Hardin from assist by Simon McClain.
The game was rescheduled from Tuesday night because of lightning. The Kahoks got a pair of goals from Adam Reiniger.
With its victory, Collinsville raised its record to 5-4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Southwestern Conference. Alton is 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The Redbirds’ next game is set for Thursday at O’Fallon.
