Smoothie King March Athlete of the Month

Senior Talia Norman is the Alton High School Smoothie King March Athlete of the Month selection. Talia is a 4-year letter winner and starter for the Lady Redbird Girls Basketball team and helped lead the Lady Redbirds to a 3^rd Place finish in the IHSA 4A State Girls Basketball Championships and a 34-3 record this past season. Talia led the team in points and rebounds this season at 16.0 ppg and 9.6 rpg, while shooting 63% from the field. Talia was named 1^st Team IBCA All-State, 1^st Team Southwestern All-Conference, and made the All-Tournament teams this year at Dunlap and Mascoutah. Talia is an excellent student and currently has a 3.417 GPA overall. Talia plans to attend Drury University in Springfield, MO on a full basketball scholarship and would like to become a lawyer someday.
