Smoothie King February Athlete of the Month
Senior Gabe Futhey is the Alton High School Smoothie King February Athlete of the Month selection. Gabe is a 4-year letter winner for the Redbird Boys Bowling team and helped lead the Redbirds to an IHSA Sectional Championship last month and a trip to the IHSA Boys Bowling State Tournament. Gabe had the outstanding accomplishment of bowling a 300 this past season in a tournament for the Redbirds. Gabe is also a member of Jazz Band, Drafting club and Physics club at AHS. Gabe plans to major in Astro Particle Physics in college and hopes to attend Wash U in St. Louis.
