EDWARDSVILLE — The Alton High boys and girls bowling teams swept a pair of Southern Illinois High School Bowling Conference matches against rival Edwardsville Tuesday at Edison’s Entertainment Complex.

The Redbirds boys downed Edwardsville 30-10 and the AHS girls grabbed a 36-4 victory.

In the boys action, Tyler Stevenson of the Redbirds led the way with a 677 series. He posted games of 262, 203 and 212, Trevor Vallow bowled a 6-2 series on game scores of 196, 224 and 182. They were the only Redbirds to bowl all three games.

For the Tigers boys, Hunter Noud was the leader with a 596 series. He had games of 195, 201 and 200. Kameron Gauslling was next high for the Tigers with a 542 on games of 180, 169 and 193.

In the girls match, Alton was led by Paige Snyders, who had a 572. She had game scores of 199, 213 and 160. Ashley Heistand bowled two games and had a 421 on game scores of 192 and 227.

Sydner Sahuri led the Tigers with a 518. She had game scores of 172, 167 and 179. Rachel McTague had a 414 on games of 129, 133 and 152.

The next action for the Alton bowlers is set for Thursday at 4:30 at Bowl Haven in Alton against Belleville West.
